Online Donations keep everyone safe
The easiest and safest way to donate toys this year is to click on one of the provided wishlists to have items shipped directly to the Riley Cheer Guild Toy Room. These items support children and families at ALL Riley Children’s Health locations including Riley Hospital for Children downtown, Riley Newborn and Maternal Health at Methodist, and Riley at IU North. We also support adult patients at the downtown hospitals.
HOW ITEMS ARE USED
These donations are used for holidays, birthdays, and other special milestones children, adults, and families may be missing due to chronic illnesses or lengthy hospitalizations. Riley Cheer Guild staff safety check and organize all donated items so clinicians like child life specialists, creative arts therapists, rehab therapists, social workers, chaplains, nurses, and physicians can quickly find the perfect item to enhance their patient’s treatment and experience.

SAFetY
Toys and other items used in the hospital have to meet high standards to protect fragile patients and their families, especially during this time of a healthcare pandemic. Items must be separate, new, and in their original packaging. Our team has to manually inspect every item for age, developmental level, non-toxicity, and manufacturing information. The following items or items containing any of the following cannot be used in the hospital setting.
